Renowned American investor Ray Dalio recently revealed that while he holds a small amount of Bitcoin, he is not particularly fond of the cryptocurrency and instead prefers investing in gold. Speaking to Chris Williamson on his podcast, Dalio shared his belief that gold is a timeless and universal reserve asset, ranked third among central banks behind dollars and euros. While he acknowledged that Bitcoin offers unique advantages such as transaction tracking and government resistance, he questioned why it receives so much more attention than other stocks with larger market caps. Williamson suggested that investing in cryptocurrencies can negatively impact one's mental well-being, to which Dalio agreed, adding that he intentionally limits his BTC allocation due to its extreme volatility. He advised people to keep things in perspective and seek solace in nature and loved ones amidst chaotic times.
