Hong Kong reportedly considers allowing retail investors to trade spot crypto ETFs

Julia Leung reports that the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong is thinking about allowing individual investors to purchase spot cryptocurrency ETFs. Investing in these exchange-traded funds (ETFs) gives investors exposure to assets without really owning them. If these investments follow the rules and make use of cutting-edge technology to boost productivity and enhance consumer satisfaction, the commission would approve them. This action is consistent with the trend of pro-crypto policies in Hong Kong.
