The United States Government Holds $6 Billion Worth of Bitcoin: Will They Sell for Quick Cash or HODL for Long-Term Gains

According to the latest data from Glassnode, the US government is one of the world's largest Bitcoin holders, with a whopping 205,514 BTC worth $6 billion. The US authorities obtained this cryptocurrency through seizures that followed high-profile cases such as the Silk Road shut down and the Bitfinex hack. While the government has already sold some BTC in March, they are expected to sell more before the year ends. However, experts argue that holding the digital asset long-term could have yielded much more substantial profits than selling it off for quick cash.
